Utah Mountain Weddings

Finding the perfect place to hold your wedding ceremony can be one of the hardest parts of wedding planning. But if you’re drawn to the outdoors and the beautiful mountains like I am, you should consider holding a Utah mountain wedding!

The mountains represent such a huge part of our lives here in Utah. For many of us, we seek out the mountains to spend time exploring, adventuring, and discovering the beauty of nature. And because they are so close, we have such easy access to them. If these last few sentences describe you, and you can never get enough time in the mountains, you should consider holding your ceremony in them. Because your ceremony should take place somewhere that is meaningful to you!

Mountain Bridals

Another great way to utilize mountains in your bridal season, is to take your bridal photos in them. This is a great option, especially if you know you won’t be able to get married in the mountains. Bridal photography sessions usually take place either before or after the wedding. They’re a good opportunity to get photos that focus just on you, without the added stress and busy timeline that comes with a wedding day. Bridal photography sessions can also take place wherever you want them to. These sessions are fairly easy to set up with your photographer as well.

Mountain Wedding Ceremony

This last wedding season I had the opportunity to do the florals for a beautiful Utah mountain wedding at Log Haven. The ceremony took place in front of a gorgeous pond framed by tall stately trees. This setting created an intimate atmosphere that drew the small number of guests together.

To make the setting even more special, the couple decided to use a floral arch as their backdrop. The local flowers that made up the arch along with the romantic color palette perfectly offset the greens of late summer. While the aisle pieces at the beginning of the aisle tied flowers throughout the entire ceremony.

After the ceremony, the wedding party moved to Log Haven’s restaurant across the street. Drinks, dinner, and dancing then followed, all in this gorgeous mountain setting. We also repurposed the aisle pieces and placed them in front of the bar and sweetheart table. This allowed the flowers to be a meaningful part of the entire day, not just the ceremony.

Utah Mountain Weddings

The mountains are stunning in Utah! If mountains are your thing and you can’t get enough of them, I highly recommend looking into a venue in Utah’s mountains, or at least taking your bridal photos in them. If you’re looking for a florist to help you with your mountain florals, I’d love to work with you!
